after step 35, the paper should look like:

then pic 57 to 62 are in fact some preparation to make the open-sink near the center easier (I use "center" to prefer to the axis of symmetry).

but I don't understand the photos 057 up to 62... mmm I don't understand what you do..because the photo is too much neighbor I don't succeed in understanding what both the point on which to work... thanks of all

I have just finished this model. If it helps anyone I used 40cm single tissue and foil. I found the sinks very unforgiving using this paper. But very enjoyable to get something like this for me. This is the hardest model I have ever completed. Next I am going to try and practice the many sinks with foil so I can get them more precise. Oh Joy - my fingers hurt already!

Can someone help with step 36, cause i cant continue from there. The diagram isnt enough for unsink it and i cant see it from the linked picture either.

Hello everyone, first of all, sorry for posting in this topic, but it happens that a friend's birthday soon and he likes the spiders, so I want to give this tarantula as a gift, but I have the same problem jo118 (author the topic) in the first post, do not understand how to move from step 12 to step 13 where it says' Dent the top. Flatten '... If anyone can help me with a photo of that step, or an explanation (sorry but I could not understand the explanation of mike352 ...: P

PS: My language is Spanish, so I have some difficulties understanding the English: P

i will try my best to explain it with words instead of pictures. (for the earlier pictures), he lifted up the flap to the right to get to the second picture. On the second one, if you look a tiny bit under the "B," you see that there is a valley folded flap. that flap then goes up and forks into two valley folds, though they can be hard to see. If you make the valley fold into a mountain fold, and the two forked valley folds mountain folds, then you make a flap just like the others. I hope that I explained it well enough; sorry if i didn't

Anyone have a suggestion you can view or download the images? ... the pictures helped me a lot and I want to finish the tarantula, also if anyone can help me with step 36 (it's hard to fold) ... or with the steps 42 and 44 (I could not understand) it would be greatly appreciated ...

Does anybody think it would be possible to fold this model from tant paper? I know it will get very thick but I've seen photos of the model that benefited from some thickness.

i just finished this model with tracing paper. it was definitely thick, but still manageable. the thickness actually lends to the realism of the tarantula. i would think tant paper would work well considering it has to be better than plain tracing paper. good luck!
