Robert J. Lang - Indiana Jones' Fedora

Post by hobbestheprince »

Has anyone folded this yet?

Crease pattern is available on his site. I always loved Indiana Jones, and I thought this was a clever design considering it's Indy's trademark.

The Doctor taught it at PCOC, so a few people folded it then too.

Very cool. I wish I could make it to one of those conventions and learn from somebody of Lang's caliber. Doesn't look too hard to fold, is it?

The collapsing process seems pretty darned easy for this model. It may be a bit tricky to find reference points for it, though.

Thanks for bringing up this model. I have a hat collection, and this would fit in perfectly!

I E-mailed him about this CP a while ago and he said that there are two versions of this model: One that has a clear collapsing process, and the one on his website, which doesn't really use any references and is kind of based on intuition.
