foiled again

Post by DavidW »

Foil is my enemy! I chose to fold Maekawa's Devil out of tissue foil because I didn't have any thin, large paper available. there wouldn't be any wrinkles if I folded it with normal paper. Ah well maybe I should just buy some paper!

You know I never knew until now that those two extra flaps aren't supposed to be horns but ears. I tried to shape them that way. My problem is that the flaps come from the wrong part of the base, they need to extend from the head, not the arms and wings. :?

EXACT same problem over here.

One of my latest projects

Post by pandaraoke »

I entered this into the "Origami United" holiday contest in deviantart.com. It's a nice group that started just 4 months ago. I'm pretty new to deviantart also. Thought you might like to see my "Seven Origami Swans a Swimming". The photo could be better but I learn more each day.

I don't know how to post the picture so I copied the browser bar info. I hope that works. If not, any advice on how to post a pic in here? (fumbling around and blushing)
What did the Origami Artist say to the paper?

Roc is a mythological Bird (looks like an eagle a bit).

The diagrams are in the latest Roman Diaz's book.

You have to right-click the picture, pick "copy picture url", (or something like that) then paste that here between those IMG:s, rather than taking the site url.
Hope this helps!

On Firefox it is "copy image location", but Flickr hasn't been letting me do that lately. An alternative is right click, "page info", then go to the media tab and scroll down until you see yours.
