My somewhat successful attempt at Jason Ku's balrog..
Its a very bulky model... and to anyone who wants to fold this i would recommend a sheet larger than 50cm, because this guy came out to be about 11cm tall (from feet to tip of wings), and body is about 6cm tall (from feet to top of head). Also you may want to use mono-colored paper.

When I tried this one several years ago, approx. in half of folding, my foil paper did not endure folding procedure and rip. But not rip a little at one place, but totaly shred. Ragnorax's recommendation is serious...
My first two CPs from Robert Lang. I'm very happy that I figured out the CP collapse on my own without any help (very first time ).

Are these models folded from the masking paper you used for the Buddha a couple of pages down?
I bought a couple of rolls at my local Lowe's and it appears to be very good! It is thin (measured it to be ~30gsm) and it can be folded back and forth many times, as needed for the complex models. Also it has a 'soft quality' to it (i.e. not overly crispy) that comes in handy when doing 'squashes' and spread sinks etc!
