oh that picture was taken a long time ago when i made the photodiagrams for myself. The finished result is on my flickr... didnt turn out so greatbethnor wrote:ragnorax--if you finish, i would love to see the results. i would imagine the forelegs and head would get way too bulky. OTOH, terry sells some pretty big tant, which would make it nice for making a large, imposing ancient dragon.
it was from 35x35cm Tant, which is too small and too thick.

Thats pretty good for a first try
Now you got the folding sequence down.

I've checked the past several pages, and nobody seems to mention this, but...
Is double-tissue alright for this? I mean, I'll assume it's thin enough, but does it hold up in the thick areas?

Thank you Anna! Do you recall what size you used, and what the resulting dragon's size was?

I have said this earlier in the topic, but if all else fails, tissue foil is the way to go. It is easy to make, and you can make large sheets of it. Only use TF, though, if you have experience with it, and really know how it works. I definitely do not recommend it for an early ancient dragon try either. If you haven't already made some, try some tissue foil, get some practice with it, and, once you really know the folding process well, try to fold an Ancient Dragon with it
. I was actually contradicted (I use that for lack of a better word) about how good TF is for Ancient Dragon, but I have folded it quite well with it:

Good luck with future tries...
P.S.: tracing paper is also good... ...(I re-shaped this model)
