It may be early, but I wanted to know what everyone thought the 2010 JOAS Special Edition will be...The subtle Shibaraku diagraming in the recent tanteidan magazine got my hopes up, but it may be too much. Anyway...what do you think?

I wish it was the Shibaraku. I don't know, maybe something Kamiya?

Shibaraku would be awesome, but with the head alone being over 130 steps, I doubt he'll finish those diagrams anytime soon.

The diagram in Origami Special issue 20 is tiger by Fumiaki Kawahata.

Yes the tanteidan site appears to have posted this recently. Does anyone know of a picture of this tiger?

I must say i was very doubtful thinking the tiger may be like an issei or engel tiger. I am unsure what to think about the face though. Every part of the Komatsu tiger expresses that it is a tiger...the face the stripes etc. I guess we will all see soon enough.

It looks like a lesser version of Komatsu's tiger to me...

I don't know about lesser entirely. Less facial detail maybe, but more stripes. The Komatsu tiger you can still manage from a 10" square, but I am wondering how the extra stripes here will impact the end size of the model?
