Very nice tesselated mask, arnemak. Very much in the same vain of Eric Gjerde's wonderful masks. I'd love to see more experiments in this field, with some practice they will look even better.

I believe Joel Cooper is the master of this particular style of masks. I'm not sure if Eric Gjerde has done any. Eric Gjerde wrote a book on tessellations though.

Oh! sorry, I can't believe I made such a mistake.
I fold representational models a lot more often than I do tesselations. That might explain the mix-up.

if you know a circle-packing, hex-pleated you do not need, it is interesting to me only with the optimization point of view, fold on it is not convenient
