Super, duh!

Haha, could you elaborate? Methyl cellulose, PVA (white glue) and super glue all have their places. It depends on what kind of paper you're folding and what kind of "support" you need to give the origami piece.

For light paper I use a Pritt stick, you know, kind of pasty stick you can smear out. for heavier paper use use a more liquid glue like pattex or so. But I hate working with glue because it can get messy pretty fast, especially with liquid glue.

Glue? Origami? Pshaw. Just kidding :).

Well, I have heard wonders about MC... It is good for making paper, shaping, glueing, all that good stuff. You could try that. Alternatively, you could just go with Elmer's quick dry glue... I have only used it once (and that is the truth!!) and it worked out pretty well. The only flaw with it (though that could be considered a blessing) is that when it dries, all the paper that was touched by the glue will stay in the exact same shape that it was in when it was drying - not unlike wetfolding... except that it's glue...

Do you mean, I can use this type of glue like MC?

If you can find starch (the kind used for stiffening clothes while ironing), you can use that as a substitute for MC.

MC is also very hard to come by in the Philippines. I use starch instead. Works pretty well.
I also do card models -- http://cutfoldpaste.blogspot.com

depends... what are you meaning by support? personally i use clear spray varnish to keep models from wearing out, never glue to keep a fold in place but to put in on a stand i use hot glue. works just fine for me no need to get all expensive and elaborate.
