"Mer"-lion seriously ?

Don't mistake my intent though, the model is great, it's my favourite lionhead I think :) At the risk of sounding boring though, I'd fancy seeing it on a lion's body.

Thanks :D
just a 4x25 cm piece of cardboard rolled onto itself.
The base is by Adam of Dream Your Wonders, though

Thanks Whitechocolate!

Thanks Señor B! I may release the CP soon. Diagrams will not be in Origami Weekly though.

Wow, how unoriginal :)

It's a bit messy, the tail's way too short, and it's not as interesting. But there's a first try. I can easily add length to the tail and even toes, (It would just take an L graft) but I'm too lazy to calculate the references I'll need at the moment. And I don't really like folding that style.

That's one cool lion ! It is definitely one of the most original lions on planet origami, even if there are quite a few already - very cartoonish and yet detailed at the same time.

The head looks far better on a lion body. It's a really nice model and looks so funny :D

Thanks! Glad y'all like the Lion.

The head was designed for the Merlion, so I still think it's better there. I kind of had to, um, move the head so that it could be at an acceptable angle.

This was the second draft of the Merlion, from the same foil. I had trouble getting a good photo of the nice gold one. It was too heavy to be held up at the same point with my little photo clip.
