I like it a lot, its really neat around the head and wing areas.
If you thinned out the lower jaw a tad more, it would look even better.
I think that seventh cookie was a mistake...

Uh thanks, but I'd rather not. This is 8 years old. That would be letting my skills regress by 8 years!

About the head and toes, they were different back then. He came up with the new toes based on his Wizard's fingers. I also used to only have three toes on each foot. These were the only photos to go by: http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/8660/picture6xi.png (Yes, that is tissue-foil that Kamiya used.)

The point was that while it is possible to fold it small, and you may think it looks good, it doesn't and would look much better from larger more proper paper, but I see this point is lost.

i agree the point will be lost, but it's interesting to see that even a version done by kamiya with tissue foil just doesn't look that good. the medium itself just doesn't lend itself to photographing.

I think that since it was 6 inch paper, it is GREAT for the size.
I have had success with 10 inch, it is a little bigger and allows for more details on the head and toes.

Just finished my first one of these today. Used an 18"x18" square of tissue foil. It turned out pretty well. Ill try to post some pictures when I get the chance.

@Draco Well you can crimp the neck downward if you want the head to be lower or face downward

i tried that before :( ... the crimp wouldn't stay due to the thickness and size...

Oh well i think the size of the paper is mostly the problem then. An A4 sized sheet is too small lol, i would strongly recommend at least 40x40cm :D

don't stress too much... i cant completely see by the pic but those steps till 87 form the stomach.... as long as you can sink those folds you'll be fine
