I am going to fold Satoshi's Pegasus so I did a really small test fold just to check out the folds (I usually just run through the diagrams with my mind, but I wanted to be sure.). I know it sucks, but it's my first try ever and it's from a small piece of kami. Does anyone think I should try with a bigger piece of paper, or should I practice more?

That's beautiful! And I am a modular nut, too :D. Your Gemini model on Flickr inspired me to make one myself a few days ago.

And Froy, thanks for posting your recent modular pics, also - gorgeous!

I made David Mitchell's Gaia this week...fun to make and only six modules. Here are two views:

I love modulars in solid colors...I just have so much decorated paper that I am always tempted to try it. Solid colors usually look best, though, to me.

Razzmatazz, I would recommend a large piece of paper...I made mine from a 12 inch (30cm) piece and it came out about 5.5 inches from tip of nose to tip of tail...

Inspired by Phillip West's excellent model of similar size. As near to life size as I can get it. From an 8 inch piece of origamido paper, yielding an insect 2 1/4 inches from tip of front foot to tip of back foot.

I tried it again with a 24cm piece of paper. I do pretty good on everything but the legs and the head.
So I skip most of the leg procedures and kind of did satoshi's head, but then unfolded it and did my own.

i've folded numerous pegasus by kamiya whilst i was waiting for my paper to arrive, now i need to decide which paper to use for a nice model :)

most of my practice folds were from 30-35cm squares of baking paper and they always came out alright :)

the older members may know that i've posted several of fuse senseis' masks before but - as mentioned with the kentoku picture - i'm preparing for an exhibition and have to refold all of the things i gave away ... just take it as an inspiration to try yourself in folding these wonderful models.
