Ares: That's just quite simply godly! I'm totally in love with your kite! The colour-changes, the smoothness and cleanness, the spirit of the bird and the frozen movement is... I have no words for it!

Pronghorn

Image

The Pronghorn...a very interesting animal and also an interesting subject to design with origami.
The obvious characteristic is the `prong`on the horns, but the colour-changes of the butt and especially the neck stripe was quite the challenge.
It is also possibly the second fastest land animal (behind the cheetah), so I wanted to position it in a running pose. This means that the leg flaps need to be long enough to accommodate this.
It started off as a challenge from MVOrigami, and now I`ve finally had time to fold it.
From an uncut square.

PS. How to post a photo from the new flickr page?

Photo inserted by Moderator, for the new flickr please take the size middle 640 (z).

I folded Brian Chan's One-Sheet Rose, from a much-too-thick piece of paper. It turned out pretty good, though.
