i don't think it should come as a huge surprise that there aren't many origami red pandas. it represents a lot of design challenges, as i suspect the vast majority of end results could just as easily be identified as raccoons. if i didn't know that model on the cover was supposed to be a red panda, i could have just as easily called it a cat (and, as much as i love quentin's model, if you folded it from a paper that was not red, i bet you there are some people who would call it a raccoon).
