cutting or not?

Post by garrasdecaiman »

have you read kasahara´s book origami saishi?
what do you think about cutting?
and since I haven´t found any post about this I was wondering about the users of this forum

how would your profile be according to this:

I hope it´s not a problem the way I added the images here and that I have not broken any rules!

cutting is ok, as long as the finished model is worth the cut. I would always prefer a non-cut-model but I'm completely fine with cuts within the folding process.

If I try to branch out any more than this I feel a bit overwhelmed with all the options, lol. But since I design plants, I almost always assemble leaves and stuff using wire and glue. And I do enjoy painting the paper before-hand.

I would never cut...ever...for any reason...whatsoever.

I may take origami a bit seriously, but it's that extra sense of accomplishment when you don't cut.
