A number of firsts ... my first post ... the first time I've displayed any of my attempts online ... my first attempt at folding from a crease pattern rather than diagrams ... my first try at Eric Joisel's dwarf.

Would love some (constructive) criticism!

Well, let me be the first to congratulate you. CPs are hard, but your dwarf face looks great. Can't tell about your feet, body, or hands from the photos.

Just finished the first dwarf that I am getting toward happy with. Took 3 attempts, and still have not solved the problem of putting eyes in. Any suggestions on a trick to forming them or tool would be appreciated. A Q-Tip was quite useful in getting the nose where I would like it.

Although this cube is much bigger than the standard cube, the dwarf is really small.
Folded from 8x8cm paper.

Holy COW! OK... I have read through this topic (determined to learn how to fold the adorable dwarf).

Amazing amount of information! It has taken me a couple of days to go through the topic (all 17 pages), gather information, print the crease patterns for me to practice on, remember the tips... sigh. A touch intimidating for my first crease pattern. I am excited though. I have a feeling this is going to take me a while... a looong while. It doesn't come naturally to me.

What a master folder Mr. Eric Joisel was!! It is nice to see so many dwarfs. Perhaps someday I will have one to join in the parade!

(I have seen no finer collection of information in regard to the dwarf ANYWHERE else in the entire internet- thank-you!!! *nods in appreciation* I should have researched here first!)
What did the Origami Artist say to the paper?
