There's some really great stuff in here. As well as some real crap. It's disappointing to see some of the omissions. I'm excited about the Komatsu, Tsuda, Kamiya, Katsuta, Hojyo, Miyajima, Nishikawa, Morisue, and Hagiwara diagrams. Also a bunch of the non-Japanese…

One thing to remember is that they have a strict page limit. So at the end after they've filled up on their first choices, they have to fill in the remaining pages exactly. So they have to fill the rest with whatever fits. It's pretty lame some of the stuff they've chosen over Ryan's submission, as well as mine. But hey, what can you do.

i know you probably can't answer, jared, but what would you consider "crap?"

imho, they should not have included the kirschenbaum rose... b/c you can already purchase that from origami-shop. i also don't think they should have published the lafosse butterfly. i don't have anything against that, per se, it's just that his butterfly variations are already in four separate publications (at least), and i'm not sure what a fifth will add.

Not picked either (3rd year in a row) :(

It's hard if you're not an established name (sorry for sound frustrated, it's just disappointed).

Well, I might get published next year anyway...
