My wife and I were throwing out ideas for models to go in my upcoming book, and she said "Toaster." So after a week of testing and failing, I finally figured one out! Made from an uncut square, it's an action model where you can push down the toast and make it pop back up. Somebody throw me some 10" foil so I can make a better one (this 6" foil version is just a little too small.)

That's great! Awesome idea.

That toaster is really nice. The only other toaster I've ever seen was by Cupcake, but I think that was no action model. viewtopic.php?p=50012&highlight=toaster#50012

Giraffe by Satoshi Kamiya.

Finding a folding sequence is just too fun! The only bad point is that you end with some visible creases on the final model.

I haven't had much time lately that's the reason I haven't posted any pictures in a while. One of the models I want to fold next is Pavel Nikulshin's Mammoth and maybe some of his other models. Hopefully I'll find the time to do this soon. So here are some of my most recent folds:

Peter Budai - Small Tropical Island
Folded from 15cm Tissue Foil. A really nice model that needs a bit of shaping to get a good result. Unfortunately it was a bit hard to get a picture that suits the model, it looks far better in real life.

Image

Toshikazu Kawasaki - Rose
Folded from 15cm Iridescent paper.

Image

Hans Birkeland - Palm Card
Folded from 15cm kami. I left out the last step and put in some rounded shaping instead because I liked it better that way.

Image

Lionel Albertino - Gnu
From 20cm Terry Foil paper. Getting the head to look good was really hard and I still think that it is positioned a little bit too low.

Image

Variation of Fujimoto Clover Fold
Folded from 20cm Elephant Hide. I thought that a stiff paper might suit this model but didn't think that elephant hide might be so stubborn and unwilling to do what I want. Might have turned out better with a different paper.
