How? He's still using crumpled tissue foil and his models still don't resemble what they're supposed to look like.origamimasterjared wrote: Second, he's made phenomenal improvement already.

Thanks Jared and Slater.
No offence Adam, but i'm sure that you didn't exactly start off as a 'perfect' folder.

i think, there's no need to become rude in a discussion on joshua's folding quality. i do agree with o-m-j - there is an improvement and i'm sure the young man is on a right way. don't loose your enthusiasm, joshua, and work on to get cleaner results.
i'm not as productive as you are with designing but usually i take a cheap paper to play with first. my angel was born from a sheet of copy paper and i took tant just when the shape was satisfying - a little hill of copy paper sheets later ...
if you recycle paper that was already been printed the thing's getting even cheaper.
but - to give a reply on the topic - what about designing a santa clause or a nice xmas-star or the holy family? xmas is just around the corner and still there was nothing suitable even in the xmas-book-thread. or did i miss something?

grizzly man: I think Noah sent in a Santa diagram. But cool, that's something i'll definatly try to design/diagram in the next 5 days!
Sunburst: Sure, i'll see if i can do one.
bethnor: Unfortunatly, i've forgotten how to fold most of my older designs, but i'll revisit those that i can remember.

I give kudos to Josh! I thought he was much older and just a lazy folder, but to be that young and designing the way he does in quite an accomplishment. He will get more precise with time. If I was him though, I would make precision my main focus, and I'm betting this thread will will motivate him.
Congrats on the dragon! I have yet to finish it. I think the penquin on an iceberg design is simply brilliant too. Very expressive for such a simple fold!
Keep up the good work!
