Nice development.

Does someone recognize this CP? It says Panda but I cannot find it anywhere. This one is also from the SM Origami exhibition as stated next to the picture.

Could be the Panda head by Kunihiko Kasahara, but I'd have to fold and unfold it to be sure.

Kunihiko Kasahara's panda head CP is different and also simpler than the one Sarah Morris used.

Anyhow, it's nice to see that SM may finally be brought to justice.

I was looking to the different comparisons made in the provided link (specifically in the first set of exhibits) and noticed Miyajima's mommoth and Miyajima's waesel cps looked the same, I may be wrong but I think there is a mistake there since I rememeber the wasel cp being different ( tough I do not know about the mommoth one).

Could someone pleace look at it and tell me if it is just me.

I want to make money out of some of my silly work, so I just did this:

haha no i would not buy that :D but i was thinking what if you made a shelf like that? you could put big models in the big squares and littler ones in the smaller squares. it could be cool. ooooh (lightbulb) what if you made some masu matrioushki by dave brill. then glued the sides together and hung it sideways on a wall? it would be almost a pure origami shelf for origami!

Well, paper tends to be quite weak supporting material, unless it is placed so that it supports laterally.
If you want to make an origami-like shelf, do a draft in paper, and then mimic it with wood.

yes but it would only be supporting origami models. which are not very heavy usually.

True, but I still don't think it would be a good idea, what with the buckling, durability and such. But I'm not the one doing it anyway am I? If you really want to, by all means go for it!

Don't forget that smaller masu boxes are also shorter, so they won't all be in line in terms of depth/height.

Also, Brimstone, I actually like that image. Although, I would have it in the landscape orientation, with the smaller squares in the bottom-right. Not sure about those particular colours, but it is something that I'd hang on my wall.
I don't know about paying money for it, though. Certainly not much more than the price of getting it printed on to a custom-size canvas. Definitely not the price that most artists charge for their work.

That is why you would use some very heavy, sized paper like Canson or other watercolor paper.

Jonnycakes, I'd figured as much, I just find it pretty impractical. But hey, that's just my opinion, I shouldn't be an inhibiting factor, as I said: If you'd want to, do it.

CP is for folding, not for coloring! :P
She should have tried folding those CP's. That would be much better and challenging than coloring! Too bad for her, for not having amazed with the beauty of the finished models of those CP's, but just with those CP lines.
