John Smith of the UK has done a lot with this topic. Please see the link below for more info on the topics. Also, I believe he came up with the term "Pureland" way back in 1978.

Satrt with this section - Art, Origami and Education
http://www.nickrobinson.info/clients/sm ... npaper.php

Then go here: http://www.bitsofsmith.co.uk/
Measuring Fold Difficulty and Fold Classification - Fold Areas, Measuring Fold Difficulty and Area Ratios, Nodal Method of measuring difficulty, and MAD Method of Difficulty Analysis

And here,
The Evolution of Origami - Classical, Neo classical, Modern, and Hyper-Modern.

WOA! Thanks for all the links! John Smith's ideas in complexity are amazing, and also a little too much. Too many of us would be simply incompetent in measuring our models complexity :(.

Sorry, that was a bit laconic. "Yes", I agree with Dinogami, and "no", nothing to add ;)

(though I'm not overly fond of the old articles posted in between wrt complexity measures, but I've not read everything in detail, the subject is not really my cup of tea, it's not helping making me a better folder)
mes p'tits plis (now also in English)
