Question 4 "For task 8, is wet-folding necessary for the creation or just a recommendation?"
Answer 4 Elements of the Eric's model should be folded as the original version ... Your additions to the model can be folded as you wish ..
Example - one sheet "dwarf with wings. " In result - Dwarf must have form in wet-fold (like original), wings you may fold as you want ( wet or classic form)

Should we include anything that provides an idea of the scale/size of the model and/or any notes about the materials or the process used (or the thought process behind the design)?

Yes, the minimum information must be include in the message (photo of orientation lines, CP's, or photo by expanded base form - any information necessary to identify the elements of the model), in order that the jury would have no doubt that the model was carried out in accordance with the terms of the task - 1 sheet, without cut etc.

I have created a flickr group for the Olympiad. I think it is interesting to look at the variations of implementation. Please feel free to join the group and add your pictures if you participated in the competition.

Dear Friends!!!!

That long-awaited moment has come and it’s time to sum up the results of the 1st International Origami Olympiad devoted to the memory of the Great Master of origami - Eric Joisel.

On behalf of all judges I would like to congratulate you with this significant event.

Most of works were performed at the highest professional level that’s why it was extremely difficult to choose of winners in specific categories.

110 origamists from 25 countries took part in our Olympiad. Herewith during the competition judges had to evaluate and compare more than 1454 pictures of finished works.

The Olympiad was conventionally divided into 2 parts: Personal and Command.

The first place in the Individual championship took members who received the highest total score (voting and setting of balls judges made independently).

To the best works in each category each judge can put 1.5 (for the 1st place), 1.0 (for 2nd place), 0.5 (for 3d place), resulting in maximum possible total score for each work is = (5Max +7,5). It can happen if all judges give the highest ball to particular model. If some of the prize-winning works have the same score, they awarded the same place. In this case, I would like to add that all 10 tasks were made only by 10% of participants (they are bolded in the summary table).

Command part of the Olympiad was held by summing of medals received by participants from one country.
Users were summed and for each of them received the following points: gold medal - 3 points, silver - 2 points, bronze - 1 point
