Re: Gachepapier
Heh, well yeah not exactly the same, you have varied it to face downwards then making a tiling of it.

Whew...
5 and 4 has a set pattern, like a common flat tessellation, in this case it is 4.4.4.4

AND

I like to call it, (when it follows a set pattern) a tiling.
So Eric Gjerde` models are based on mathematical and geometrical things, where as you have done the brick pattern with your tower design:

AND
Your Photo before (I couldnt repost without exceeding pixels limit)

Re: Gachepapier
Thanks - though I'm still not sure about how one would link the brick pattern and the middle picture (which I understand to be the 5 & 4). For info, the brick tiling does not have a rotational 180° symmetry, only mirror (at least the one I found, I've not looked for other solutions). And it is not very efficient, as it halves the paper in both height and width.

Re: Gachepapier
As for linking them, the brick pattern made like that is a varition on that model.
And as for not being efficient, try iso - area twists as the tessellation, you will get the same pattern.
