He would need a pretty big paper cutter. I've been wanting a large one myself, but they get rather expensive...

Please excuse my brand mistake in an earlier post.
The paper cutter that I recommend would be the RotaTrim Pro , the M24 or 1024 model.

Expensive, but well, well worth it .
You'll be using it long after you've forgotten about the cost.
Also, Faye Goldman has taught OUSA courses about paper cutters, and she would have more experience than I .

Wow, you werent kidding about the cost. $720 for a 54" cut!! Thats nuts....
-Fold until you cant fold anymore...then keep folding.

Not too sure if I'd recommend the 54" cutter. Might be good, but as you go longer, there's more potential for deviation.
Personally, I like the 24" because it is accurate and yet portable .
It has 2 guide rails, which greatly ensure stable cuts.
For larger paper, you need a good " L " square and " T " square in conjunction with good technique, acquired over time...
I'm just guessing, but I imagine that some professionals may have a laser cutter, which cannot be had for a pittance ...
The point is, that cost is relative.
