In the crumple pattern I probably will not distinguish between them, but it will still be very simple to fold.
In a nutshell it is floderer's mushroom opened out with some extra points in the 'cap'

I am flattered you posted a clone of Edwin's Dragon3 I posted earlier- but how about using the basic instructions and coming up with something different?

When teaching, it is far more rewarding if there are as many variations on the model taught as there are people in the class, not just 30 identical clones.

On the dragon I am not too keen on the way the neck looks- it needs something but the pleats just don't do it for me.

I like this devil's advocate role

In my opinion the best design for a Wild Boar out there :-)

It's a really nice idea. But it would be even cooler if you found a way to make the volcano colour-changed compared to the lava (volcano-black, lava-red).

You can try to just use two sheets of tissue, one black, one red. Probably when crumpling it isn't even necessary to glue them together.

Maybe I already asked this at the convention, but where do you buy Japanese foil?
Have a nice weekend!

David
yours was the only completed model I had ever seen, thank you for the constructive criticism, I'll see what I can come up with. :D
I have never met another folder but learning in a classroom or even just folding with others sounds like a lot of fun.

Violinist by Hojyo Takashi from 30cm x 30cm Kami.

The paper I used is definitely not the best for this model, but I'm quite happy with the result (for a first attempt). I also like the fact that the dress is colour changed, I have not seen this model from two-coloured paper before :)

The first time we got it by luck from Ebay very cheap.
You can get foil-squares from Kim's Crane.
And since today you can also order rolls of foil paper from Nicolas Terry's shop :-)

My first attempt at folding this model and I definitely collapsed it wrong in some places but I'm very happy with the result :-)

Did you use those spanish .pdf files that were posted some time ago? It also has pictures of the collapsing process. Unfortunately there aren't any pictures of collapsing the tail, and since I'm a CP newbie I have an uncollapsed Lion lying around :(

Yes, I used those but not very successfully. They were okay for the precreasing but as you said yourself not very useful for the collapsing.
The tail part I did was just an attempt to squash the model into something similar as in the picture using most of the creases that were there.
Also the rest of the collapsing was more of a squashing process really....

Kirin by Satoshi Kamiya from 25cm x 25cm Kami.

It looks a lot cuter in real than on any pictures you will see (this one included), so if you get a chance fold it :-)
