I would be happy to go with a normal tournament as Kyle suggests, but the losers' bracket of the ODT was essentially that - and it didn't work very well, as few people completed models. Might the same happen again?

We really won't be able to control it, but we should make sure everybody will definitely be able to participate before they are officially in the bracket.

I am not participating in this right now, but I do have an idea that may help. Since we already have a tournament style duel system in place, what about just a jump in jump out informal duel system. Lets say I lose ODT or am bored, and just want to duel someone. I just post in here, and if someone wants to duel me they create a duel. If it is not locked into brackets it is more flexible with people that just want to compete. Just an idea to try to help out, more competition is good in my opinion and I hope something good comes out of this.
Please, add me on flickr and tell me what you think!

I'd be interested in participating if I have the time. The team challenge concept is intriguing.

I think that the team challenges are a good Idea but I also think that shortloldude's idea is good if you want to duel some one than you just post hear and some one hopefully will want to duel you too.

[edit] I just had an Idea what if we made teems like the red teem blue teem and green teem or something like that then a person or persons from one teem can duel people or persons from an other teem and each teem gets points! or something like that. each teem could have their one thread so it is easy to track what is going on with your teem and with the other teems.
this is just my idea [/edit]

Yeah, I like the idea of individual duels as opposed to a big organised tournament or team contest because there's less to go wrong if people fail to participate.

I'm ready to duel someone. Who wants to challenge me?

We could do random duels, as well as set up team duels, where maybe two or more people make complementary models... for example, if there are four people who all want to duel, they can split into teams, and make models that are part of 1 theme.

Cool, lets do it!
Do you want to come up with themes for me to choose from, or should I think of some and let you choose?
We also need to work out what sort of time limit we want.

So, who'd like a challenge? You pick three topics.
