IMHO, kawahata's representational mammals have never been that great. or never approaching his dinosaurs from origami fantasy.

though his raccoon is fantastic.

I'm glad I didnt go for the membership, I forget can you back order a membership? Because if they do have a good model in any of them, I would be happy about that.

Yes you can order back issues, but to get the special edition volume you have to pay the extra membership fee, so it would be $110 for each special edition you wanted. That includes the 6 OTM magazines from that volume as well. I don't know how far back they have special editions, but I think just to the Giraffe from a few years ago.

Oh ok if I ever find a good special edition one that I want I'll just throw them an email inquiring the availibilty, they've mostly been accommodating throughout my experience with them. OTM seems to be more on the same page as me compared to other magazines, as there's more of my favorite designers.

I just wish they would give the subscribers a little bit of input for the special edition model. I don't regret paying extra for the subscription, but I have felt disappointment the past few years b/c of the selection of models that were included. I don't know how feasible it would be to have a vote on which model to include and have all of the premium subscribers give input, but it seems like that would be a great option, and might even increase subscription rates. Even if they gave a list of 5 or 6 models and had us choose. I can't help but think that this model would not have been very many people's first choice. Oh well. I'd be thrilled if they would re-release Icarus or the Violinist, even if they wanted to charge a premium for them.
