I folded one more practice Cyclommatus metalifer designed by Satoshi Kamiya, and one from an 11 inch square of Thia Chiri paper.

MC means Methylcellulose, its often used in origami to thin points on models, make the resulting models hold their shape (curves, thick areas, etc.), and toughen the models overall. Its also used to back-coat pieces of paper together. Its similar to a thin gelatin-like glue.

Methylcellulose is wallpaper glue.
It helps to make the paper crisper and stronger or do the other stuff Joe mentioned.
