The Unryu I've tried is very thin and full of long fibers. It's listed as 25gsm. Some of the fibers are quite woody, which can make it tricky to fold cleanly if the fold crosses one of them. I thought it was too thin and soft to fold by itself, so I sized it with MC and it worked out ok. I dry folded it, not knowing if that was right or wrong. I suspect it would be hard to wet fold since it's so thin. What I have is probably unryu tissue, as I see it comes in "cover weight" as well. Perhaps that's what Hank is referring to.HankSimon wrote: 3. Unryu - Hack opinion only !!! Do not trust... but I think that I've read that unryu requires wet folding from the beginning... If I am very wrong, maybe someone will feel irritated at my ignorance and clarify.
