What have you folded lately?

Just to prove that I'm not a stereotypical drive-by poster, here are few things I've done.

Eastern Dragon by Joseph Wu

I'm especially proud of how well I managed to make the head.

Great White Shark by Joseph Wu

I did the Eastern Dragon today, with a single piece of 20" x 4" wrapping paper that I had (it's about the same texture as normal origami paper, except the back is smooth, like wax paper). It's my first successful attempt, so any suggestions on improvement would be appreciated (especially in regards to shaping the body).

The Great White Shark is one that I tried out with normal copy paper, I don't really like the way it turned out, so I am going to try it again soon with some better paper, maybe a little larger too.

These are both models that I've wanted to do for a really long time, so it's a pretty special feeling to finally be able to do them. I'm thinking about trying out the Chuka Ryu that I found in one of the threads, but I have no idea how big the paper should be, or what the ratio even is for any of the pieces.

I folded Nicolas Terry's Ghost Monk. It's a great 3D model!! I love it!!

And 2 butterflies w/ different color combo. My simple favorite butterfly so far.

I guess this is my first official creation...It came about as a result of great frustration with Kirschenbaum's Spider Crab... I got so frustrated with the last page of the diagrams, that I unfolded a lot of the legs, and decided to make something up. The result was this very large (and somewhat abstract) Hermit Crab.

I personally like abstract forms a little more than "realistic" forms. The way I look at it is, origami is basically an abstract art where imagination is important...So what do you all think of my first forray into designing?

I like it. At first sight, I wasn't like «What in the heck is that?», so it's quite good that I can recognize it right away. The only thing is that if that is a hermit crab, try not to fold the tip of the shell like a lobster tail...

Taking a break from the crease pattern I've been folding all week, I decided to fold from diagrams.

Satoshi Kamiya's Sleipnir. From a 35 x 35 cm square of dark grey double tissue paper.

I'm pretty impressed with the stuff. It's easier to make, cheaper, and messes up your hands less than tissue-foil. Oh, and it folds better, you can precrease and easily reverse creases. And it's so crisp! It feels like paper.

I'm making a bunch of sheets of this paper--each sheet takes 20 minutes to an hour, depending on how much MC and how watery it is. (on the downside it does take about 50 times as long to make as tissue-foil.)

Nice work, I wish I had those diagrams... I'm assuming this Sleipnir is from Fnal Fantasy, but I remember them having six legs, not eight. Maybe it's from one of them that I haven't played.

That photo really tempts me to try out MC...

Its actually for Norse mythology, but its nice to now that i'm not the only one that thought of FF when i saw this model.

Ahh, you've inspired me to fold Takashi's Thunder God. You did it from the CP in Tanteidan 10 right? It looks like an easier fold from CP compared to other models.

I'm afraid my scanner isn't going to work... at all. Does anyone know of a program to make diagrams?
