Hi , i was able to collapse the entire rose, but im not sure if i did it right. The base of the rose on the second page of this trhead, which is also what i have folde, is A LOT different from the base posted by day dream in
http://www.flickr.com/photos/69208357@N00/141583091/
According to the thread on page second, the fold i manage to copy is correct, but the linked base is also correct as well.
Which is right? Are they both right? Or did i just get real silly?
i know a lot of the dinosaurs gave their wisdom down and it was very helpful, but can someone just post pictures of the top and bottom, pre and post collaspe, for my edification. cheers, and i hope i didnt cause too much trouble with this post.

There has been some talk about how to properly find all of the horizontal creases. This is the best that I have come up with for that. (Note: I have always had some error in the creases. But I think my math behind the steps is accurate though.)
I have named the horizontal creases (and edge of the paper) A though K to be able to identify them easier. The two creases found with reference finder by Daydreamer are H and I.
1. Fold K to I. (makes crease J) Unfold.
2. Fold along H. Make a fold matching I. (makes crease G) Unfold.
3. Pleat along G and I. Fold A to I. (makes crease C) Unfold. Fold A to C (makes crease B) Unfold.
4. Pleat along H and J. Fold B. Fold B to J. (makes crease D) Unfold.
5. Fold along D. Make a fold matching C. (makes crease E) Unfold.
6. Fold G to E. (makes crease F) Unfold.

Shaping the Rose
All right, I've got the folding of the base and the twisting down pat, but please, does anyone have tips on shaping the model so that it actually looks like a rose? I'd especially appreciate tips on how to form that tubelike structure at the top, which has given me a lot of trouble. Thanks.
