No, it's not... I was watching a movie at a freind's house, I didn't remember how he did it, so I just used a waterbomb base.

My issue of tanteidan just arrived.

Grabbing the first sheet of paper I could find, I took a shot at Tsuda Yoshio's Snow Goose:

Bad choice of paper though. I think I need to use a thicker/heavier kind of paper for this one.

Also made an attempt at one of Brian Chan's hermit crabs:

The hermit crab is nicely folded though the shell seems too thick at the end. The duck is also nice, though its head is too thin. You should use thicker paper for the duck and thinner paper for the hermit crab.

I tried to used the thinnest paper I can lay my hands on.

The CP for this uses the one quarter quadrant of the paper for the shell, the rest of the 3 quarters for the crab itself. By the time the crab CP is collapsed, so many layers are accumulated. On the paper I used, the edges where the shell is grafted onto the crab has so many layers it's almost 1mm thick. Hehehe... I had to pause and moisten the paper to soften it up and allow me to continue folding.

The paper is used for this is the same as the one I used for the Hermit Crab. Yeah... I should have used a thicker, heavier paper for this one. Anyway, I'm still on the hunt for good paper. Once I get my hands on some, I'll give this one another shot.

sunmaid, nice pig attempt! Did you wetfold it? I used printer paper to fold mine, so I did not wetfold it. I like how you made it 3d.
firstfold- looks like what I'll find in a bar....
Beautiful locust, artur, though the layers stand out, still it looks great!
