That should work.
I just folded the arms in half when shaping to make them thinner, but I'm pretty sure that with most box pleated designs you can double the resolution of the grid to get longer or thinner flaps.
I finally have a chance to post this-I have been sick and then at the OUSA convention, and I managed to take a quick (sloppy) picture before rushing this piece to a display at my local library.
I have not had any time until today to really browse through the pages; army tim the turtle is great except you should have used prettier paper keep the good job!
legionzilla thanks for the comments on the hawk and dragon, any advice on how to better the proportions?
Well i just folded (horribly ) phoenix 3.5 but I tried it with a 20 cm square so i couldn´t continue the tail
the other head was cut from one made out of a 70 cm square.
飛竜, the attempts were pretty good considering the size of the paper.
grizzlyman, the pig is great! I also dry-fold Quentin's pigs.
Jonnycakes, that is... awesome! The wings are the most awesome part of the design.
fi-ori, nice replication of the rocking horse, it is really cleanly folded!!!
froy, i think your mantis a well done folding. your pig looks loke a little wild boar on your keyboard - you should probably close the window to the woods, right before the bigger ones will come in
The praying mantis is great. THe hermit crab is extremelly cleanly folded and looks real cute! The Quentin pig is quite good, though all the recent pigs have ginormous heads!
Hi! It's been a long while since I've been active on here. I deleted my Dropbox years ago, so some things, like my Dragonfly Varileg guide, are lost to time. I may still have other things, though! Email me if you have any questions.
