You are usually asking for trouble using sarcasm and humour on an international forum where english may not be some people's first language. There will always be somebody who doesn't understand sarcasm or get the joke - especially the americans! (that was a joke, by the way). Maybe we need a sarcasm emoticon?!

@strolgen - that Buddha looks excellent! What exactly is masking paper? And where do you get it?

I fear the problem with this snark sign is that no one knows it, making it pretty pointless to use it.

Unicorn by Roman Diaz
35x35cm

I also folded a few other models from Origami Essence, but i seem to have misplaced the photos i took. I gave a few of those models away so i may have to refold them to take pictures :?

Mantis Boxer by Manuel Sirgo (diagrammed in 'License to fold', Nicolas Terry), folded by me.

Awesome, I'd never heard of that before. Sounds like something out of a Dr Zeuss book! Out of interest, how did you get the character in your post, did you use unicode somehow or just cut & paste from somewhere?

@Ragnarox - nice unicorn. My favourite model from the book (until I change my mind again - they're all so good)

@Pixion - nice job with the mantis, I could never get that model to look good. did you use a single sheet of tissue paper, it looks really thin?

@Aces21,

Thanks. Yes, its single layer, not MC treated during folding (but MC was used in shaping legs and body.

I weighed the tissue paper and it is around 20 gsm, which is pretty standard for wrapping tissue.

Note that the shaping took me at least 4 hours. It was the first time I folded this one and never shaped with MC before. To get a fast drying-wetting cycle I used an oven set at 75C.
