Today I have made my first sheet of tissue foil (actually napkin-foil, from a really nicely textured napkin I found at a party), which I used to fold my variation on Robert Neale's dragon.

I have also continued folding from Maekawa's Genuine Origami.

Samurai Helmet Beetle, from 35cm x 35cm tracing paper.

That merlion is WAY to cute not to make diagrams for it. If I could purchase official diagrams of individual models your merlion would be the next one, seriously.

Joshua, you'll have to forgive me, maybe everyone is being too polite or does not care to say something, but your complex models look terrible, really. I'll try and offer some constructive criticism...

It's is a bit hard to see why from the pictures, since they are blurry, but it looks like your paper has been chewn by the dog, in my case a sure sign that I've been working with sheets which are too small.

Also, it seems like the layers of paper of single flaps are far apart in your finished models, could be one (or several) of several causes. Either your creases lack precision and the deeper layers don't adjust well with the top ones. Or you've been creasing again and again until you found the correct spot of the folds. You could try and use some MC (sparingly) to see whether you can keeps things into shape. Or -methinks- you should stick to simpler models for a while, concentrating on making them look good rather than to "finish" something which is too hard.

I've designed a Google Android Logo, folded from a 15cm square of tissue foil.

Amazing cellist ! Is the archet (if that's what it's called) from the same sheet ?

Nice work on the face, hair and sleeves in particular, very inspired !

zeatuel: Wonderful cellist and cello. You have so much playful detail in that model (the pegs and scroll, the goatee) and a lot of character too!

EZorigami: I really like the folding and photography on the giraffe, particularly the way the shadow in the face turns into an eye.
