Joshua, quite frankly, it looks VERY bad when you photograph standing animals laying down like that. It makes them look dead.

If you really want to have them laying down, look at pictures of the animal sitting, resting, sleeping, etc. to know how they do it. They don't just fall over to the side.

If you don't want them laying down, make an effort to have the stand up! Refold parts of the model the model, prop it up with toothpicks/clothespins/paperclips, make a sloped surface so it doesn't fall over, but don't succumb to killing the model.

As Fanatic said, cheat if you have to, but you really do need to get these standing animals standing. This is one reason why things like your walrus and crab look better than your other designs. Because lying flat on the ground IS an appropriate pose for them.

newbpcpfolder: thanks very very very much!! im currently in the making of a book and i let some people test fold the crab, so if you want diagrams of mine, there will be around 30-40 of my best designs in that book
jared: these are just lying on my desk so i dont bother standing them but from now onwards i will take pics of them standing

hi friends.
I'm making experiments with tissue/double tissue+MC so while I was waiting MC to dry I folded from a 1x6 rectangle a scorpion designed by Alfredo Giunta.
I'm not a good folder like you but I hope you enjoy this design

I'm happy you like it.
I want you to see it because this model was designed in 1989, I think many of you weren't already born!

Now we are in supercomplex origami era, people blink his eyes watching Kamiya's works and similars, but when I was a child and I saw this scorpion and his spider I stayed  for an hour!
