Lobster 3.0
Well I already have designed lobster 1.0 and 2.0 which you can see here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/langko/735 ... 7215762941... and here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/langko/750 ... 7215762941...
The first one I designed when I was a beginner and it is crap. The second version is much better but I still don't really like it. So now that I have much more experience and I am a better designer I decided to fold a version 3 and this looks much more like what I had first imagined in the first place. Whilst cps 1 and 2 are fairly simpler I decided to completely change the structure for this version and the grid stays the same. I'm not sure when I will upload the cp. I don't have the program that I use on my computer at the moment... I hope to upload the cp for this and my quetzal soon.
Boxpleated on grid of 48. Folded from a 50cm square of tissue foil. Hope you like it :D

Very lobster-y! :D Its a nice improvement over your previous ones, (though they were very nice too). The claws are much beefier.

Thanks very much for taking the time to comment! Yeah, the claws are thicker because they now come from the edge of the paper, not the corner :)

Are those pleats on the lobster closed?

Yep, because they are only half a grid in width... The model uses transition units for the pleats :)

Lobster 3.0 CP
CP for my most recent lobster design: www.flickr.com/photos/langko/8681941393/in/photostream
Very happy with this design, much more efficient than my last ones and the model looks more like what I first hoped it would look like. Grid of 48. Hope you like it :)

Very nice I am trying to design a lobster but all my attempts aren't as good as yours but one question is the head of the lobster at the bottom of the cp?

The bottom of the cp are the legs. The head is on top :) Good luck with your lobster!
