Digitising Origami Drawings

I intend digitising my early 90s origami diagramming and uploading to Google Drive as a form of archiving.

Designs include completed inkline drawings, a number of pencil sketch filled reporters' notepads and numerous scraps of paper containing rough thumbnail sketches.

I've started scanning, but before I get too engrossed with the task I thought it best to enquire how others would tackle this work - bearing in mind a lot of these sketches will require future reworking.

Knowing my luck, I'd be scanning at incorrect resolutions and saving in wrong file formats. I'm au fait with Photoshop only.
