Cirle-Packing & Box-Pleating ?

Post by firtha12 »

Hello I am wanting to understand what goes into ( Circle-Packing & Box-Pleating )

What types of things can be made using these 2 ( Circle-Packing & Box-Pleating )

When an actual Origami Artist wants to make a model from an Image he or she has seen or even a statue or a cartoon or a warrior or anything in general -- What goes into there mind how would 1 person work out how to place an image/statue or anthing into ( Circle-Packing & Box-Pleating )

The Main thing what I want to know is HOW can I design something that I see from an image on google images or from anywhere ?

Any Information and Help will be Greatly Appreciated.

I don't feel like explaining it again, so here is what I wrote in response to your previous post on this same topic.

You should really learn to solve crease patterns before you attempt to design, it would help greatly.

Robert Lang's TED Talk is the best way of explaining I have ever seen for it. He talks about crease patterns starting at about 2:40, but the whole video is probably vital for the concepts.
