Wedge Flexicube by David Brill

Post by paperz »

Hi,

I saw this new model by David Brill - the Wedge Flexicube. Just wanted to share it on the forum.

I only wish the booklet with diagrams for this model were available online outside the BOS store.... as I am not a member

... but you don't have to be a BOS member to order from BOS supplies. Have another look here:

More pics of the flexicube here:

Impossible to conceive: an origami enthusiast NOT belonging to BOS....

Dear Mr. Brill,

Wow! Its is indeed an honour to receive a reply from you. I am an ardent 'fan' should I say of your work (origami and paintings). A few of your selected works on flickr gallery are awesome!

I recently folded your Double Flexicube and have been showing it off to all my friends. I mainly rely on library books for origami diagrams or of course the internet. My one year old hardly lets me fold nowadays so joining the BOS is not an option right now....however I am happy to know I don't have to be a member to buy it. Now I am eager to know when your 'Masu Origami' would be available again :-k, so that I can buy both :D

Thanks & regards,

Mr. Brill,

I just ordered your "Brilliant Origami" book from Amazon as I have a few gift certificates to order more with free shipping too. Would you be able to make "The Wedge Flexicube" and your other publications available on Amazon? I am not sure if its as simple as I request it....but I am optimistic!!! and sure that your sales will double. :D

I am really excited about the Brilliant Origami book too and ordered it from Amazon a few weeks ago. It seems like the book is out of print or something, at least Amazon has trouble getting it, but I hope they will get it in the end.

There are lots of BOS publications available at the above address. They are cheaper than amazon in the UK, and every penny you spend will go towards increasing the development of origami.

Or, you could line the pockets of the capitalist fat-cats at Amazon. After all, £2.40 could probably buy them a spoonful of caviar.

The Double Star Flexi-Cube isn't all that hard, it just takes to long. I have an un-finished one sitting on my desk, only about 3 quarters done the first half :( I just got bored of folding it, wanted to fold different things

Perhaps you should write to the BOS. They do mail order, too.
