I managed to figure it out,
but now I'm having trouble attaching it to the rose.

I'm wondering, does this calyx work with the 'Winson chan' Kawasaki Rose?

Indeed. The point sticks into the bottom of the rose.

By the way, welcome to the forum! Image

Thank yooou :)
When I tried to put the point into the bottom of the rose it only goes in about halfway, is there any secrets of putting it on the rose?

Problem finishing the calyx

Post by Ezekiel_82 »

Hello,

I´m new on the forum and also i´m new to the origami world. But I like it !!!

I´m folding the new kawasaki rose for a gift to my girlfriend, and I´m stuck with the calyx.
I still have difficulties understanding some complex diagrams, and with this calyx I can´t fold steps 13-14-15. I just can´t see what he is doing

Also I don´t get how to attach it to the rose and when (with the rose finished or not).
I´ve watched a lot of videos and searched the web but nothing... :(

An alternative idea (just because I need the rose for the next week) is to flip the calyx, put the rose with glue, and the point attach it to a stem (I know is not the best, but is just an idea).

If anyone can help me I would be eternally grateful.

I think this clip might be helpful to you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP0xeQeN4M0

Personally, I think that calyx is still too big for the rose but as long as it suits your needs... :-)

cheers,
