Well, once again it is the chinese new year. As with the pig last year , this is a challenge to design what it is the year of: the rat.
Good luck everyone, there will be voting like there was last year after 2 weeks, and the voting will go on for one week.
Here are the rats to vote on:
#9
A late submission.
Please vote, even if you didn't submit anything!

I'll try to participate in this contest. This would be my 1st challenge.
Hope to make my 1st decent model..

This does sound interesting...I have an idea in my head, but the execution of it is a different matter
I will see what I can come up with.

Great job adams!
Here is my rat. I didn't have any brown paper, so I went with orange.

Are rat Pokemon okay too?
Came up with this about an hour ago. Felt like Rattata would be a better challenge for me

I was thinking about this the other day, and I realized I really haven't seen any simple or minimal rats. Two sheets and twenty minutes later, this is what I came up with:
I started from a kite base, folded in half. This gives enough layers to curve the tail properly while still allowing for the more delicate folds in the head of the model.

That is a cute rat! Is it basically a square folded in half with some additional folds and pleats?

Actually I started from a kite base, not a square. But that's the idea anyhow.

Oh, sorry, I didn't read the comment below the image when I posted a reply. But anyway, at least it is your design, no one elses!

Okay everyone, less than a week left now. Get your rats in so that they can be judged! Maybe even a valentines rat?
