Fumiaki Kawahata - Golden Ringed Dragonfly

Well i recently got the insects book of Kawahata Fumiaki, and I'm in love with the Golden Ringed Dragonfly, but its hard for me, i got stuck on step 29 and can't move on, has someone do it? and give me some hand, I'll really appreciate, I'm very rookie for the level of this book :S

You need to add another mountain fold along the pleat that's already there. It's not drawn very clearly... then follow the creases shown and it should collapse right. The section on the left swings down and gets hidden inside the model, which is done by the crease shown in step 28.

I made some photos to show you what you have to do.

You have something like this:

Flatten one of the pleats by pulling the sides apart:

Make the former mountain fold into a valley fold:

Repeat as often as needed...

I've got something like this, i think miss a pleat somewhere, in the last image i'm trying to move to the step 31, but i don't get the same form, thanks origami 8 for the photos and the help :)

just a question, not really related to the topic, but where did you get your copy of the book? I've been looking for a new book to buy and have been considering this one.

You can buy the Book (Origami Insects I by Fumiaki Kawahata) in Nicolas Terry's shop: http://www.origami-shop.com
Nicolas Terry is very reliable and sells lots of good stuff, you should have a look through all sections of his shop.

I bringing this post back to life because i still want someone to read, i need to know what do to with the tail from steps 55 to 60 (or 57 at last) someone who understand can fold only that tail part and give me a huge help :), i'll love some advice for those who already done it. thanks!
