From "Origami Design Secrets," I am having a difficult time with steps 28-30, and have no idea where to turn. Valentines day is tomorrow and this was supposed to be part of my gift but it looks like I might have to settle for less. I'm not even sure how someone would be able to explain how to do these steps but I thought, what the heck I'll at least ask!
You are reverse folding along the creases you made in step 22. When you do this it will not lie flat until you press down on the triangle that is causing the front to stick out creating a crimp.
yes that did help, i think. i got it to fold in a way that looks correct, but it still seems impossible to "wrap" the raw edge around without ripping the paper. is there a trick to this step or is it just ridiculously difficult?
Most times, the easiest way to wrap the raw edge for a color change is to open the model up as much as you can to a point where the wrapping can be done without tearing.
