The Spectacled Bear Jousting- Voting Time

Dear Origami forum members:

Jousting has begun and voting time has arrived. In the first step the judges will select 44 models which are 50% of all designs received. There are 56 competitors from 22 diferent coutries and 96 models (including the judges models that are not participating in the voting).

All models selected at least with one vote will go to the next round. I hope first results will be ready next week.

The result for this first voting is: All models has received at least one vote from judges, so all of them go to the next round.

Second voting: Judges select 44 models and 44 with more votes go to the next voting.

We expect to have the results next monday.

The following is an image of the 12 bears that has been selected by the judges. Now, competitors will have a week for folding their model again and take more pictures if they want to. Rule for next voting will be inform later.

The model from Miyamoto is excellent. It has the vote of many judges but at the end it was not enogh for going to next step. However I agree that is a very clever and beautifull model.

As a result of the last voting, no model got the absolute majority,
so, the two with more votes go to ballotage. You could follow this

As we are 13 judges there is no posibility of a tie, so we will have
the Jucumari Champion very soon.

Yeah, the roundness of the shaping and all the little details really make it a great model.
