Sad new about Sasuga bookstore

Post by bethnor »

i just found out today that sasuga bookstore has closed its doors. this is sad, as it was a major source of japanese books in the US, and was my venue for purchasing the tanteidan convention books every year. i also got a lot of my gallery origami house books from them, and a few of my other japanese books. as far as i know, there are no other outlets in the US for buying complex japanese origami books (i know OUSA carries a lot of the gallery origami house books, but they don't always have the smaller publications).

i doubt they have a presence on this forum, but i wanted to thank them for years of service, and to say they will be missed.

Very sorry to learn of their closing.
Have had many courteous, professionally handled interactions with them and it was always a pleasure.
I hope that they will be able to transition to a new, satisfying endeavor .
I wish them all the best luck in the world ...
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .
