Christmas Book 2011?

Post by Lephantome92 »

Are there plans for a 2011 Christmas Book? I did the forum search and I did a google search, limited to this site (for some reason, forum search would cut off "book" whenever I searched "Christmas book"). The latest Xmas book topic I found with google was the 2010 edition. So, is there a Christmas book in the works, and if so, did I miss the submission deadline?

I believe that the person who really knows the answer, would be Origami 8 , or Anna .
She and Gerwin have taken on this ponderous undertaking each Christmas season and deserve the appreciation of all of us who look forward to the annual book.
The Christmas season is already such a hectic, busy time of the year, that I would most certainly not fault anyone
for foregoing that ordeal .
It would be nice if the task could be rotated amongst qualified individuals, or perhaps even take place during a less busy time of the year .
Mostly, I am happy to have had an opportunity to experience it in past years .
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .

The special thing about the christmas book, Axel, is that you have to give to receive.

You can't get it because you never submitted diagram to it.

We can do it in another way. Anna is very busy, but who not? Please, send diagrams to the email address ondrej.cibulka.origami (at) gmail.com up to 23.12.2011 and I will put it together in pdf and put it on-line somewhere. In this case, no restriction on models or diagrams, it is just for fun.
Good luck!

i was saving these diagrams up for the xmas book this year but i've just uploaded them to a few places (counts as publishing apparently so technically, i shouldn't enter them for the book) before checking here again and seeing ondrej's last post but i figured i should share em anyway... enjoy... and merry christmas :D

Hi, will I be able to get into this? I have a one page diagram I made for a kayak, but they aren't the best diagrams. It was the first model I diagrammed so I had a little difficulty with the 3d steps. Nonetheless I still think it's possible to fold from them. I hope to see a Christmas book this year!

Just wondering, do all submitted designs get accepted. My model isn't diagrammed really well but I would really want to get a copy of the book, and that would be the only way possible.
