okay, here's the opinion of somebody who folds lots of needlessly complex stuff: dividing into 17ths using binary method is like one of my favorite folds ever. also 11ths. also, pleat sinks/closed sinks are the fun parts of models. even pleating 64ths isn't so bad if you can zone out. cleeearly the ...

origami usa made a set of guidelines based on the folds involved (open sink = at least HI, etc. or something) too lazy to find it for you... the origin as far as I know is to distinguish origami classes, like at the ousa convention (I know that's where supercomplex comes from--to scare most of the f...

learn brian chan's rose. it's not that hard if you can do the kawasaki and lang roses easily, and it makes people go WHOA

looks like yours is wayy less frustrating to fold than mine...
one of the hardest parts of diagramming is finding a good folding sequence which can be shown easily, so I'd suggest that you keep workin on that. the folding sequence totally like defines the model

Website update

hey forum peoples, after three long years, I finally updated my website, http://www.baclawski.com/kenny/index.htm , and it has loads of new stuff (models, pictures, cps, diagrams). random aside: I really hope someone tries to fold my millipede at some point. I know there are people crazy enough to d...

I'll be interested to see what cp you come up with for the phage. I found a really easy way to fold one from a square but have yet to fold it (doubt I will ever...)

by the way, jonnycakes, I designed almost exactly your rat (and folded it with the same gold foil) a while back (though yours has better detail than mine). I was taken aback, as it looked like someone took a picture of one of my old models!

I folded a 256ths version of one of my broccoli models (did not turn out well), and my millipede is based on a 150ths grid, but both of those only used certain folds the largest actual grid I've folded is 128ths. I know the most recent Ryu-Zin is pretty ridiculous. I think it was at least 128ths, bu...

I love komatsu's water flea.

microscopic would be something you can't see with the naked eye, so I'd say anything about the size of a flea or smaller.
