Need advice on creating a Lambanana

Personally, I hate the thing, but there's a competition in work to design one (not specifically an origami, that's just my twist on the theme).
Problem is, I've never created my own origami from scratch (just modified some bases and stumbled across some cool ideas) and don't really know where to start.
Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks.

Need advice on creating a Lambanana

Just a couple of tips of dubious value...
Kinda looks like a lamb, with simple ,elephant-like legs.
Might check out database for a lamb, and/or a Montroll dog or animal base .
Soft, heavy paper probably needed for the obvious wet folding/sculpturing effects of the head and ears .
All in all, a paper mache' construction would probably be easier and faster, seeing that you have options .
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .
