Thanks Flame, I guess in dutch there is no differents in the names, you just say land or water turtle. But back to the topic.... you forgot to add some animals to the list :D

I didn't forget, I just wanted to clarify for you. ;)
However, I will provide some for the list, since you ask. :D
Antlion larvae: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JXRyaDNoOCs/T ... lion-2.jpg
Clyclops Shark: http://www.mskaykim.com/wp-content/uplo ... -shark.jpg
Umbrella Bird: http://sqwahr.com/Umbrella%20bird2%2000000.JPG
Tetra fish (general): http://www.tetrafish.net/wp-content/upl ... shCare.jpg
X Ray Fish (tetra): http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/c ... AcF202.jpg

Once again, I did a quick skim on google and google images to check. So if one of them is modeled, please tell me! :D
A tiny place to post my things. Enjoy~

This topic is great!

I think that the cyclops shark is a one-off mutant rather than a species in its own right (sadly!).

Thanks Flame kurosei. Glad you could find some animals.
Again I did a search on them.
Antlion larvae: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JXRyaDNoOCs/T ... lion-2.jpg
Found one.

Clyclops Shark: http://www.mskaykim.com/wp-content/uplo ... -shark.jpg
You just won the weirdest fish contest :D. There is obviously no model yet, and as said by chris_t it is most likely a genetic disorder rather then a species. Btw: I had an action figure from ghost busters that looks just like it..

Umbrella Bird: http://sqwahr.com/Umbrella%20bird2%2000000.JPG
Nice one, with the comb and the chest feathers, and it has not been done.. yet.

Tetra fish (general): http://www.tetrafish.net/wp-content/upl ... shCare.jpg
Kinda general fish, but with some nice red flank, might make for a good colorchange!

X Ray Fish (tetra): http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/c ... AcF202.jpg
This is a nice one. Although you wil need some special see through 'paper'. But if you got it would make an awesome model!

Thanks Origamigeek that would be nice. If you could find the time to search for models it will be aprecciated. As for designing: I never had the goal to make models of all the animals mentioned here myself.I'll just pick out the ones I like and try to design one (I'm not that good a designer btw). I wanted it to be a inspiration for everyone on the forum, so please feel free to design any model you like, and remember to post a picture here. I must say I was hoping for more designs already. This is your chance to be able to say 'I designed the very first...enter name... origami model ever'!

So please keep the animals coming, and any designs are welcome aswell.

Btw I started another topic with 'Mythical Creatures that haven't been done yet'. If you find some of them please post them. I'll try to keep track of both topics.

I have the added a list of all the animals that 'haven't been done...yet' to the very first post of this topic. Just to keep it organized and so you got an overview.

I mean make a list of animals that have bin done because it might be easier to find the ones that have bin done then check it with the ones that people like me find.
[edit] I saw your other topic I am finding Mythical creatures

Wow Black terror, that's is a nice dolphin. Nice you gave it a kinda off a diving pose. I'll delete the Yangtze River Dolphin or Baiji from the list.

Maybe you, or someone else can add some more to it?

At first glance I saw some animals that have been done but I'll look into all the animals listed on the page.
