Foil newspaper

Post by EuanBingham »

Has anyone tried foil-backing sheets of newspaper? You get a really nice unique finish to models. Very cheap too.

Interesting idea, but don't your fingers get rather black while folding from the newspaper's ink?
Was the unicorn you posted here made from this "newsfoil" (to go along with the nomenclature of tissuefoil :) ) or did you use plain newspaper for it?
So long and keep folding ^_^

No the Unicorn was just plain newspaper. You're hands do get very dirty, but that's no big deal, unless you run out f soap.

I'm re-doing Kamiya's Ancient Dragon with foil backed newspaper, I'll put a picture up when I finish it :)

It's also possible to buy large rolls of newsprint from office/stationery supply stores. These don't leave ink on your hands. :)
